Blog 3: The Wind That Shakes The Barley Review
Hi everyone! Today I'm going to talk about a very interesting movie that I saw on my September vacation. This is the film "The Wind That Shakes The Barley," a film directed by Ken Loach and is based on the Irish Civil War and the Irish War of Independence. What I liked the most about the film is that it deals with very interesting topics, such as the reasons for a war and the social and personal conflicts it generates. What I did not like about the movie is that it is very long and there were scenes a little boring. My favorite character is Sinead, because it represents the strength of women and the importance of women in every society, a voice without fear and a force without detention. My favorite scene is when they show the violence of the Irish police, because they show the excessive use of force and the abuses they committed.
